A new
Beta version
of Jubler is out.
Please have a look at it.
This version should be compatible with MPlayer OSX extended and fix loading errors.
All of you who had problems with Jubler, you are welcome to test this version.
If you still have problems, please report here.

Linux doesn't have the problems the other two platforms are experiencing...

Well, that makes me really really happy.

I have downloaded the beta version since on a MacBook Pro
(under OS X 10.6.2) I get a FFDecode library not active message (with Jubler-4.0.dmg).
I have posted on that too, before finding about beta3.
Indeed the problem is fixed and the visualization works fine, nevertheless the program
is unbearably slow. Is there a less beta beta-version that fixes the "FFDecode library not active"
and is a bit faster?
Thanks in advance,
Beatrice

Beta should be as fast as normal versions.
Something else is happening.
Please tell me which parts are actually slow, to investigate it a bit further

Hallo and thanks for the prompt answer
.
I reinstalled and rebooted the MacBook, and now it works beautifully.
So, with my setup, (MacBook Pro under OS X 10.6.2) the "FFDecode
library not active" bug is cured under the Beta3 version.
If I am allowed a comment, I find it a bit cumbersome to have MPlayer
start whenever I select a subtitle line, is there an option to keep in paused
unless I start it using the "play" command?
Thanks again for the program, I use it to create and edit subtitles,
it is very good,
Beatrice

Only if you open view preview, mplayer is started.
If you don't, mplayer will not start and change time position on every subtitle selection

Hello there...
I've downloaded and run Jubler 4.0 and 4.5beta3 in a IntelMac OS 10.6.3 and get the same error screen at start:
Code:
Cannot launch Java application
Uncaught exception in main method: java.lang.AbstractMethodError: org.apache.xerces.dom.DocumentImpl.getXmlStandalone()Z
Any ideas?
Thanks for your time

Which OS are you using?
Which version?
Which Java? And which version?
Are you sure you are using a Sun Java implementation?

Beta 3 Crash

Every time I start a new file, I select the .avi, I select the .ac3, hit ok, and the window disappears.
Then, once the .jacache file has been created, if I do it all the 2nd time, it all works fine.
Not quite sure what the problem is as there doesn't seem to be any sort of crash log that I can find.

OK, I've got a workaround - create new file -
save file
- and
then
set the .avi and .ac3.

This is a Java SDK version.
Have you updated to the latest Java for your Mac?
