I'm having the same problem, only with Mac Tiger. When I try to preview, Mplayer crashes.
Here's what I'm using:
- OSX Tiger 4.11
- Jubler 4.5Beta3
- Mplayer OSX Extended, revision 11 (last version for Tiger)
- .AVI file and .srt file are located on desktop when using Preview
The avi files plays just fine on the desktop using Mplayer, only Mplayer crashes when using Jubler.
The log file for Jubler states:

MPlayer! It can be a bug in the MPlayer code _or_ in your drivers _or_ in your

MPlayer! won't help unless you provide this information when reporting a possible bugAnd the crash log for Mplayer reads:

http://jubler.org/smf/index.php?topic=126.0 before I posted. I downloaded the proper version of MPlayer, and this along with Beta3 and I am up and running. This is an awesome piece of software here. I love it!
